The key to multiply your asset
According to English Dictionary, to possess means to acknowledge or admit the ownership of something. It also means to claim something as one’s own.
Generally, nobody wants to claim ownership of a liability but of assets. However, there is an indiscernible margin between what is referred to as an asset or a liability. An asset is what gives or adds value while a liability deduct or reduces value from someone or a thing. But the truth is, what constitutes an asset or liability depends on the sole factor of one’s perception of such things. Take for example, a farmer in a crude rich region goes to farm one Morning only to find a spill of black liquid on the farm. Now the attitude of the farmer towards the crude oil determines what he does with it. He can decide to move to a new farmland or simply generate value from the crude. There is value in everything and anything at all.
- Correct mindset
There is nothing in this world that cannot be used to generate surplus value to the owner if it is held with the correct mindset. One can generate value from tangible and intangible stuffs such as relationships and friendship with people. Anything you have with you can give surplus value if you don’t hold it with a defect in your mind. The key is taking ownership.
- Take Ownership
This holds true using scripture sense, the words of Jesus in mark 4:20 comes to mind.
‘.. and these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty fold, some sixty, and some an hundred’ (KJV)
This shows the degree of reception of the word of God (an intangible stuff) and the varying results that accompanied it. The same word produced a thirty fold in some folks while it produced a hundred in others. The same word!
The difference in results came from how the listeners took possession of what they heard. Two people might be doing the same job with the same salary/wages and a big gap in productivity. One has taken hold of the job and took ownership as if it were his while other may have the attitude of a sojourner who is only doing the work for the time being and looking for greener pastures.
The insignificance of something today does not equate to its uselessness.
