Conundrum- A decision that must be made
John C. Maxwell says “There’s a choice you have to make in everything you do, so keep in mind that in the end, the choice you make makes you.” Jack Kinder says “You’re not made in crises- you’re revealed. When you squeeze a lemon- you get lemon juice. When you squeeze an orange, you get orange juice. When a human being is squeezed, you get what is inside- positive or negative.
Note that no matter how financially buoyant, spiritually balance or morally upright you might seem to be, you will surely find yourself in a conundrum-like situation. This moment of life usually portend a tensed situation and anyone in it might need a hasty relieve, therefore, it becomes imperative to make a decision (I.e. making a choice from the available alternatives).
What people want for you isn’t important. It’s what you want for yourself. Nobody can hinder you from doing what you want if that’s what you’ve set your mind to do. You can always find a hook to hang excuses on, but they’re only excuses. You don’t have anyone to blame but yourself. Nobody else can make you fail.

At this juncture, it is crucial we examine some relevant characters that have found themselves in such a situation and were able to sail through.
Here comes a moment whereby the loneliness of man can no longer be tolerated because of the pain he constantly went through physically, emotionally, psychologically and lots more, he therefore needed a helpmeet suitable for him- the one whose strength happens to be the man’s weakness. The fact that woman wasn’t present with the man right from the outset doesn’t mean that man could not effectively perform his daily duty and likewise her absence doesn’t mean that she wasn’t needed. No matter how emotionally balance you might seem to be, a time will surely surface in your lifetime that it will not be too good for you to be alone either as a male or female, hence, union.
At this junction of life, God, irrespective of his supremacy, will never take a leading role in decision-making but rather transfer the latitude of making the decision to the concerned party while he acts in accordance with the decision made by them. God practically stopped bringing woman to a man ever since Adam (the first man) attributed his failure to keep to God’s commandment to the woman given to him by God, therefore, you must now ask God if you must receive, even though he knows you have need of it.
Trials (conundrum) reveals man’s strength, faith, and level of discipline. Love manifested in time of bliss is not a tested love. There is limit to your capability, no matter physically fit, financially buoyant or spiritually balanced you might be but there’s always a ship available to sail you to your next destination which is called relationship. You can choose to remain at the spot where your capability ends or make effort to network (outsource or collaborate) through the ship of relationship in order to land safely so that your invested effort will not end up being wasted since it can’t get your ship to the next destination.
David the kind, was a beloved of the lord, yet he went against the will of the lord in doing a physical counting of the people of the lord as against the will of the lord and God was never ready to spare him; he must be dealt with in order to realize what he’d done wrong. If you claim to love God, he would allow trying situations to stare you hard in the face, to test the acclaimed love. The price for obeying God is higher. David had to pay for his negligence and not only him buy also the people he ruled over. God gave him three undiluted alternatives from which he must choose from without hesitating and below are the options:
Either three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtake thee; or else three days the sword of the Lord, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the Lord destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me. But David had to properly dissect those options before he chooses since he must choose from the available alternatives (he must choose the not-too-bad from those “bad alternatives”).
Here was his submission:
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the Lord; for very great are his mercies: but let me not fall into the hand of man.
Do what is important now before it becomes urgent.
